I am new to being a bottom. In SM, am I expected to pay, or does it differ from one Top to another? And if so, how much would be asked of me to pay?
No. While I used sex workers quite a bit of the time when I was a bottom that was my choice. There are plenty of TOPs out there who will play for free - especially with a younger guy. Just remember not to get into a situation where you are powerless (tied up for example) until your really trust the guy.
The one advantage of paying is you can call the shots. But there is no need, really. You may also find that if you are a little more open to guys who are older and less fit you may find one who will take great care in showing you the ropes. Sometimes the good looking ones can be selfish - that can be a turn on when you are experienced, but not at your stage.
