TEMPORARY NIPPLE PIERCINGS
The most important thing, if you are going to have a piercing, is everything must be totally clean. Your nipples, the TOP’s hands, the needles and any other implements used.
Use pre-packed sterile hypodermic needles. You can buy these from medical suppliers or online from sites such as:

The needles should neither be too thin (in case they snap while in the nipple) nor so large that they create a hole that does not close up naturally when the needle is removed. For nipple play they are usually between 27g-20g. Remember that gauge is inverse to thickness, so the higher the number the thinner the needle.
Your nipples and the area around them should be well wiped with surgical alcohol or Betadine (povidone-iodine or PVPI). The TOP should wash his hands thoroughly and wear clean, disposable, latex (surgeons) gloves. Use pre-packed sterile hypodermic needles, use only once and dispose of safely.
In my experience the nipples are one of the most painful places to have pierced. It depends on how many nerves you have. Some guys have very sensitive nipples (I do) and some much less so. Some nipples are soft and easily pierced; some are hard and gristly and need a lot of pressure to get the needle through (again, like mine). If you have had a lot of tit work in the past your nipples are likely to be harder.
I think it is best if the bottom is immobilised before nipple piercing as any sudden movement can cause a tear. So some efficient bondage is good – though keep ropes, tape or straps away from the immediate area of the nipples.
If you have access to a nipple pump you can use this before piercing. It makes smaller nipples protrude a little more and swells larger ones. It usually makes the nipple more tender. Since it increases the blood flow to the nipple this may result in a little more bleeding, but should not be anything too heavy. If the nipple does bleed, apply a tissue with light pressure until it clots.
The piercing itself is best done slowly – to be careful and to ensure the maximum pain can be enjoyed during the process. Once impaled, the nipple pain subsides to a throb and needles can stay in for and hour or more.
Although small, nipples offer quite a wide range of play area for piercing as a needle through the tip feels very different from one pushed thought the base. If the nipples are large more than one needle can be inserted into different parts of the nipple. Three is usually a maximum. In this case set each needle at an angle to the last to reduce the chance of them joining up into a much large slit. If the needles are set well behind the nipple in the areole area (the darker disk behind the teat) then more needles can be inserted.
Given the pain subsides after the initial insertion a TOP may choose to play with the needles to create extra stimulation. This should always be done carefully and never with a sudden jerky action. Pouring surgical alcohol over the nipples can also sting and helps keep things clean along the way.
For safety, you should NEVER play with electricity above the waist, so this is off limits. Even quite small amounts of electrical current in the chest area is enough to disrupt the beat of the heart.
Needles should be removed slowly and disposed of safely. Any blood can be wiped with surgical alcohol or Betadine and then a little ointment such as Savlon rubbed into the nipple. If they do not dry to a crust in the air then put a couple of band-aid over the area for a day or so.
During the healing process, wash the nipples morning and night. Do this carefully and use only a mild salt solution (half a level teaspoon of salt in a glass of water should be fine). Do not use surgical alcohol or Betadine during the recovery process as this inhibits healing. If the nipple becomes infected, see a doctor.
You need to wait until your nipples have fully healed before you play again; otherwise you could start to break down the structure of the nipple and may cause complications that could lead to permanent damage or even loss of the nipple. I have seen examples of this.
As with any heavy nipple play, temporary piercings tend to make the nipples larger and harder and less regular in shape. The piercings can cause small amounts of scar tissue to form inside the wound making the nipple harder and tougher. Repeated piercings will leave many such minor scars that tend to make the nipple stick out more – always erect. It can also change the feeling of tit work, though, in my experience, does not dull the pain.
